The Black Bat Society is an all-inclusive event promotions and production company. Our mission has been not only to support your favorite local acts and artists, but to bring them together in front of broader audiences that will enjoy and learn from their talents, as well as inviting the most gifted national acts to the greater Pittsburgh area. The BBS cater to every aspect of shows from creation to completion, including booking, graphic design, advertising and promotions, photography, performers, models, and day-of-show management and production. Our promotional efforts include a diligent street team, local and national business support, and a strong social media presence. We are privileged and have the great fortune to have earned the dedication and promotional efforts of our live music and performance fans who help us to spread the word of our events and bring the cities together. Company founder, Phoenix Lagoon (Dj PhoeniXXX) has extensive expertise in nearly every aspect of development, sales, production and distribution, design, and photography. Since 2007, Phoenix has been in the underground music scene. Beginning with joining the Distortion Productions team, then soon after starting his dj career and only months after, becoming a Night Shift DJ with his first residency at Pittsburgh’s Ceremony. Filling the hole that Ceremony had left in Pittsburgh after it’s 12 year long run he co-founded Club Nemesis and has been event planning ever since. Dominating Pittsburgh’s large-scale goth and industrial club scene with events utilizing venues such as the Altar Bar, Club Zoo, Mr. Small’s, the Irish Center, the Rex Theater, Devils and Dolls, Cattivo, and most recently, Cruze Bar, the Black Bat Society (previously Resurrecting PGH Entertainment) has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that when it comes to fulfilling the Steel Cities need for the Dark Arts The BBS is the company that will deliver. Until 2015 The BBS has primarily only involved themselves in goth and industrial events. While that will continue to be our main focus, we will be expanding by hosting unrelated ventures including, but not limited to open stage, karaoke, art exhibitions, 80’s nights and more.
