Hemlock for Socrates
GroupElectronic art-rock duo
Description
Hemlock for Socrates is the moody, danceable electronic art-rock partnership of Heather Shore and Kegan Heiss. Together they create genre-traversing music that explores themes of personal introspection and social commentary in surreal, science-fiction inflected language. After releasing their fourth album, Cavern, in 2022 they have been playing live regularly across the eastern half of the US as well as in their hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, including several regional dark-alternative festivals. Their most recent single, You're Not Here was featured on Post-Punk magazine and released in anticipation of their 2024 midwest tour with Chicago band [melter].
