"Johnny Ortiz, also known as DICEY, is an experimental bass and beats artist currently residing in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, his musical interests ranged from all over the spectrum starting from hip-hop/R&B to even a bit of hardcore. At the age of 15, he discovered dubstep and freestyle dance. A few years later, “trap” music surfaced and he quickly fell deep into the realms of underground sounds. His strong connection and special ear for this pocket of music influenced him to become a DJ during the summer of 2014. In March of 2016, DICEY made his first official solo debut on stage; where he was featured alongside heavy-hitters Woolymammonth, Tsuruda and Shlump. A few months after, he took up production. DICEY soon gained a reputation for his natural ability to develop original beats and his unique, ever-progressing soundscapes in live sets.
