The Weeping Glass celebrates the origins of the season. Most of today's holiday traditions stemmed from ancient Celtic, Nordic, Germanic, and ScandInavian traditions that were a little bit...darker. And, of course, we're here to celebrate the "darker" part!
We've invited some friends to join us for a Winter Solstice Celebration on Thursday, December 21st from 6pm-9pm at The Weeping Glass on East Warrington in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
Relish Co. will be vending Scandinavian inspired confections in our back parlor along with Black Forge Coffee House, who will be creating Nordic inspired coffee drinks. Warrington Beer will also be joining us and allowing our 21 and up friends to join them in a German beer sampling.
The Eyes of the Oracle will be creating a pagan Yule Altar for everyone to contribute to if they wish and Biilzebub The Bone Collector, along with Morose & Macabre, will be creating the Welsh Mari Lwyd.
The Weeping Glass will be offering sales on select merchandise during the event.
