Founded in 2016 by Nicole Brenecki, New York Trax has quickly established itself as a go to label for gritty and industrial leaning techno. The label operates as an outlet for New York music and has released EPs by veteran producers like John Selway, in addition to rising talents like Liquid Asset. The later of which will be playing a live set for this showcase.

Liquid Asset, is the production alias of synth enthusiast, Alene Marie. As Liquid Asset, Marie has honed in on a raw hardware focused sound that has landed her releases on labels like Jacktone Records, Primitive Languages and Summer Isles.

Also, representing the label will be Boris Brenecki. Brenecki has released tracks under a variety of aliases but most notably as half of the industrial leaning, techno outfit Ontal. In recent years he has begun to produce under his own name, releasing EPs for NY Trax and Natural Sciences, along with a forthcoming release on the Singapore-based label Midnight shift. Brenecki’s DJ sets are known for their breadth and variety, in which he highlights many production styles.

Finally, to start off the night we’ve enlisted another rising artist from NYC. Heidi Sabertooth will make her return to Pittsburgh after having an amazing year of releases, with releases on labels such as Lost Soul Enterprises, Serotonin and Kraftjerkz.
