DJ Aesthetics

Born and raised in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, Tresa Murphy Green is a young, dynamic, multidisciplinary artist. She is a poet, deejay, and self taught craftswoman. Known as Deejay Aesthetics, curating sound has allowed her to shape spaces to center black femmes/women/queer folks. Deejay Aesthetics melds a wide range of genres from Afro House to Nola Bounce and Jersey Club to birth a original and imaginative experience for partiers. She is co-creator and co-resident of Junction Dance Party, a monthly party at brillobox. Junction is an open-format party that merges sounds, genres, and regions to ignite a fun and energetic dance floor.

DJ Shoe

David Shoemaker, aka DJ Shoe, is a DJ and educator living in Pittsburgh, PA. While studying at Miami University, he honed his mixing skills spinning at both campus events and local bars. In the past year, Shoe has become a rising star in in Pittsburgh’s nightlife scene. He is a co-founder of Junction Dance Party, a monthly party where Shoe and DJ Aesthetics curate a high energy dance floor through local and global sounds. Outside of nightlife, he consistently spins at local nonprofits’ events and neighborhood block parties in Braddock, PA. Ultimately, Shoe utilizes his skills to build community on any dance floor.
