Nightshade is your weekday workout, your monthly dose of humpday hi-hats. Held at The Goldmark the last Wednesday of the month and curated by Longturn resident B-Tru, you know it's a vibe. B-Tru will be joined by a different guest each month, each showcasing their own flavor of house music.

This month's guest selector is Nichole Marie. As an awkward teen, Nichole Marie found solace and comfort at the rave. Today, she uses her 18 years as a dance floor spectator to guide her record selecting. Playing strictly vinyl, she will share the house music treasures collected over the years from her travels to NY, Detroit, Baltimore, DC and beyond.

About B-Tru: Brad Truman, a Pittsburgh native, has been honing his craft for nearly 10 years. His moniker, B-Tru, is his musical philosophy – know your style and own it. From string-heavy disco to minimal tech house to every 4-to-the-floor variation in between, his sets can be as diverse and wandering as they are dance-able and uplifting. His musical expertise has provided him with residencies at a variety of Pittsburgh locales, with current homes at New Amsterdam and Market Street Grocery. Whether spinning sultry soundtracks or dancefloor dingers, Brad always remains true to his groove.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the LongTurn.

Longturn Music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Come early, stay late, dance hard.
