"THE LIBRARY IS OPEN, AND READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!" in the spirit of Pride herstory, tonight's event calls back to a phrase that originates from black & latinx Vogue/Ballroom culture of the 80s. The phrase has been popularized through films & tv like Paris is Burning, RuPaul's Drag Race, and POSE <3
β Shoutout to Pittsburgh's own True T, who continues ballroom's legacy and community for tomorrow's generation. SIGN UP for their Voguing classes before spots close! β
Thank you to our hosts Millvale Community Library & Tupelo Honey Teas! Get a book and let's spill some TEA while yr with us ;)
