Living Dead Weekend: Monroeville (1985 Edition)
Con/Event for all things related to George Romero's Dawn of the DeadPop-up
no venue specified
All Ages $40
This is a difficult decision that we did not take lightly. It is a very complicated procedure to move the date of an event that has so many dynamic parts, full cast reunions, movie locations tours, and the use of a shopping mall and it's many stores as a venue. The main thing we want you to know is that the Living Dead Weekend: Monroeville 1985 Edition is still happening, just on a different date. We will be keeping the same event theme, same film reunions, and same celebrity line-up.
Attendees – All tickets already purchased will automatically be transferred to the new dates. You do not need to do anything further as this will be an automated internal process. Just check in at Will-Call as usual with your original will-call tickets. This applies to all types of tickets, general admission, VIP, and Locations Tours. If you cannot make the November dates, the unused tickets will remain valid for any future Living Dead Weekend. We will only deactivate tickets that are checked in, so any unused check-ins will automatically carry over to each future show until it is eventually checked in.
Vendors – All vendor spaces already purchased will automatically be transferred to the new dates. You do not need to do anything further as this will be an automated internal process. If you cannot make the November dates, the unused vendor space will remain valid for any future Living Dead Weekend. When we get closer to the event new date, we will be asking for an updated role call to see if anyone will want to use their vendor space at an alternative future date instead of this November 2020 date. We are also looking into several ideas to promote our vendors in creative new and safe virtual ways and hope to announce these plans soon. These will be free bonus promotions to assist our supporting vendors.
Hotel Info - Please remember to cancel any June hotel reservations that are made whether in our hotel blocks or in any other facilities. We have already set up a new hotel block for November and will post that link on the website and Facebook.
We understand the financial impact that this postponement may have on our attendees, vendors, staff, celebrities and other small businesses that rely on our event. This is a unprecedented situation and as a small business ourselves we appreciate and thank you all for supporting both Living Dead Weekend and Living Dead Museum. We are asking everyone to please be patient and please try to roll forward your various tickets to the November date so that we can present our best event yet. If there is anyone who just cannot make any future date work for them, whether it be tickets or vendor spaces, please email info@thelivingdeadweekend.com and we can present some alternative refund options. Please be patient with us as we work through all the details. Individual emails will follow to each attendee and vendor with this postponement information.
Take care and stay safe and please be nice to one-another in these difficult times. We have learned many lessons why we should do that from the films we celebrate.
-----------------------------------
Celebrating George A. Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD and the entire library of films based on The Living Dead series. This year we return to 1985 for some 80's horror fun. We celebrate two 35th Anniversaries of iconic 1985 zombie films, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and DAY OF THE DEAD.
And of course as always we are celebrating DAWN OF THE DEAD in the place it was filmed with the people who made it.
A fan convention like no other, the reunion of both the place the movies take place and all of the people who made them, from the lead actors to your favorite screen zombies, to the people behind the scenes that made it all happen, it's all here in the form of a huge fan gathering and convention.
