Open Streets - Southside 10th Street and East Carson Pittsburgh
All Ages
๐ฒ OpenStreetsPGH is organized by Bike Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization that works on behalf of all Pittsburghers to transform our streets and neighborhoods into vibrant, healthy places by making them safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.
๐๏ธ The event will open 2 miles of city streets from the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, through a magically car-free Armstrong Tunnel, and over the iconic 10th Street Bridge and into the bustling East Carson St business district. People of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy any non-motorized recreation: Walk, run, bike, skate, roll, dance, and enjoy the road at your own pace. Jump into a free fitness class at the Health & Wellness Hub, learn how to ride a bike at the Kids Hub, grab food from local food trucks, and enjoy fun activities hosted by over 100 local businesses and organizations.
OpenStreetsPGH is inspired by the global open streets movement. Hundreds of cities around the globe celebrate open streets to promote car-free transportation, healthy outdoor activity, and community engagement using city streets.
