Joe Russo's Almost Dead, or JRAD for short, are the absolute best touring Grateful Dead cover band in the world. Every show is different, and every show is 2 sets. Expect to hear the band's renditions of a unique selection from every live Grateful Dead tune ever played, complete with complex live improvisation and jam sessions that seamlessly blend songs together. While the Dead were known to extend some of their songs, JRAD extends every song from a minimum of about 8 minutes to upwards of almost 30 minutes. They take the full live GD repertoire and make it their own. If you listen carefully you'll even hear hints of other songs not played by the Grateful Dead, as well as an occasional Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd tune. Jerry Garcia and the Dead may have created most of the tunes you'll hear at this show, but JRAD have absolutely perfected them. This band is at the top of their game, and this isn't a show you'll want to miss.
