Action Camp is proud to announce the release of our third album, Cusp, this summer. We’re celebrating this release with a performance at Thunderbird Music Hall on Saturday, August 20 — joining us are The Long Hunt, Fortune Teller, and Normal Creatures. Advance tickets are $12, tickets day of show are $15. The first 50 advance tickets include a copy of Cusp. Presented by Steel City Death Club.

Action Camp is a Pittsburgh-based trio that blends elements of doom pop, post-punk and art rock. Now in its 16th year, the band has evolved from its electronic, sample-heavy foundations towards an alternately minimal and intricately layered approach. In summer 2022, the band will release their third full-length album, Cusp, which fully captures both the rawness of their live attack and their intimate lyrical approach.

The Long Hunt is a three piece instrumental doom, drone, and heavy psych band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that features Trevor Richards on guitar, Allison Kacmar Richards on bass, and Mark Lyons on drums. Formed in 2016, the group has released three studio albums to date; 2017's "Wilderness Tales", 2018's "All Paths Lead to Here", and 2022's "Threshold Wanderer". Adaptable and dynamic, the music can shift in both volume and mood at a moment’s notice. With live shows often accompanied with samples, lights, and projected images, the band strives to create an immersive experience for the audience.

Formed in 2016 by Giovanni Orsini and J.J. Young, Fortune Teller is an outlet not just for the two of them, but anyone that is in need of an explosive, teeth-gritting, blaring release of energy. As a duo, Orsini and Young amalgamate into a fiery performance which seeks to obliterate any doubt that less isn’t more. Fortune Teller conquers stages, slams rooms with sound, breaks down sound barriers, and has no intentions letting up. The band wields their instruments with force to deliver a mighty fuzz-soaked riff-filled punch.

Normal Creatures are a Hip-Hop/Rock group from Pittsburgh, PA (USA). Blending their favorite elements from Punk Rock, Heavy Metal & Electronic Music, Normal Creatures have crafted a sound that is aggressive but approachable with a strong focus on songwriting and storytelling. Their lyrical content typically revolves around the internal struggles that exist within us all and aims to only enlighten, empower, encourage the listener to challenge the way they view the world around them.
