REBELMATIC is singer Creature, Karnage on bass, guitarist Alkatraz, and Ramsey Jones (ODB’s brother!), one of the best drummers on the planet.

Their album is composed of the rawest, heaviest, heart-pounding and gut-wrenchingly groovy material to ever come out of NYC. Branching out in new directions from their previous hip hop influenced sound, Rebelmatic has evolved into a hybrid of punk, hardcore, and aggressive funk all their own.

"Comprised of borough lifers with dizzyingly varied resumes, the band here offers up a sub two-minute whirlwind that manages to be furious, thoughtful, and deftly provocative. Musically, it tips the cap at everything from NYC’s early hardcore and punk to funk, groove metal, and all things progressive.

There’s an off-kilter rhythmic sensibility and a ripping lead guitar riff that serves as the song’s backbone. There’s a hypnotic quality to the doom-laden vibes and, fitting with the video’s backdrop, increases in urgency as it manically races to its conclusion. The vocals command from the jump and, in the final act, repeat 'insult to injury, stuck in the mud' seemingly ad infinitum. It’s a telling and effective burst best played at maximum volume." - NoEcho.Net
