Detroit has long been a hub for electronic beat lovers and speaker freakers, but Golf Clap’s Hugh Cleal aims to lead a new generation. For nearly a decade, he’s hustled the project and its Country Club Disco label to the forefront of house music’s funkiest dimensions. The project (formerly a duo with Bryan Jones), works tirelessly to conjure a palpable energy, one fans can feel at every gig, be it a hot-and-heavy club set or an energetic takeover of a festival stage. Golf Clap feeds off the crowd, spinning the hottest songs of the moment while breaking new records - and this isn’t any press play, hands in the air fair. You're likely to hear a lot of cutting up between facefulls of funk and bass.
Fueled by a relentless passion, when Cleal isn’t behind the decks, he’s likely pulling all-nighters in the studio. Bodies dancing in real-time is an addiction, but when it comes to original productions or high-profile remixes, Golf Clap wants to create something for every moment. Recent singles “Freak It Out” [Country Club Disco] “Mystery Scene” [mau5trap/Insomniac] and “Gravitate” [Toolroom] showcase their deft and dark grooves, while 2018 EPs Vices and Machines showcase club-ready attitudes. High-profile remixes for Zeds Dead and Illenium, Zhu and Tame Impala, Louis The Child, and Hotel Garuda give the music makers a chance to showcase stylistic variety.

Working out of Pittsburgh PA, Chris Maze has been producing a catalogue of work that has filled dancefloors and playlists across the musical divide. He's signed to an ever-growing catalogue of well-respected house music labels, including Country Club Disco in December of 2021 with his 'Your Number' EP. This release received support from Bingo Players, R3WIRE, Golf Clap, Max Low, played at EDC Mexico and DIrtybird Campout, and a play from Insomniac's own Pasquale Rotella on Night Owl Radio. In summer of 2021 Chris also caught attention with his remix of Don't Trip by aboywithabag, receiving a play from CID on his Night Service Only radio show and landing him an interview with 1001tracklists.
Chris comfortably works across the genres of Tech House, with Bass House flourishes and the occasional journey into Deep, Melodic, Minimal, and Disco.
