It’s Pride Month and that means a lot to us here at Team BRUTALISM. The two of us have had a tricky time arriving at the place in our lives we are today. We are both queers and it’s a very important part of why we do what we do and what kind of strange chimera of an event we have made for our community. One of the reasons we are so glad to be hosted at Mixtape is its history as a queer space where that is visible and celebrated. That is just so important to us. Now more than ever.

In June we will be giving you the best music that we can offer but with special emphasis on the gay. Bands like @urbanheatband, @wingtips4real, @light_asylum, @maletearsmusic, @themareustoo, @austra, @softcellhq, @korineband and @trstonline are all fundamental to the very fabric of BRUTALISM and we wanted to shine a light on that.
