An all-ages, two-floor, 12-DJ deep underground beats night featuring house, jungle, techno, and breakbeat DJs at 168 in downtown Pittsburgh.
Deep Underground Beats (DUB) takes over both floors of 168 (522 3rd Ave, downtown Pittsburgh, between Grant and Ross St., next to Chinatown Inn) for a night of house, techno, jungle, acid jazz, and breakbeats. Main floor DJs include Swamp (U.S. DMC Champ, Cleveland, OH), Jason Patrick (Modern Music, Baltimore, MD), DJ Kevin Ruffian (Acid Jazz, Pittsburgh PA / Hard Tech-house & Jungle, Protokulture Records/168), and Sinc & Smoov (UDG Inc. / Playin' House, Funky Breaks, Protokulture Records/168). Second floor DJs spin funky acid breaks, trip-trance, minimal acid, funky house, hard house, and electro-breaks: Atomic Bob, BIT, Bleep, Eric D, DJ Saint, and Smartie. Sound provided by Wizard Workshop sound system. All ages event, $8 admission, doors 9PM-4AM. Alcohol available on the second floor until 2AM with proper ID.
