J. Malls Spins 70's Vinyl at The Bohemian
Resident DJ J. Malls spins 70s vinyl every Thursday at The Bohemian with rotating guest DJs.
J. Malls hosts a weekly Thursday night vinyl session at The Bohemian (located inside The Garden Theater, 22 W. North Ave., North Side, Pittsburgh PA), spinning 70s records from 7–10 PM. Three upcoming Thursday nights feature special guests:
• 7/23 – DJ Powderfinger: Former resident DJ at the Southside's Lava Lounge in the late 90s, known for keeping Saturday nights popping. Out of retirement for one night only!
• 8/13 – Michael Lutz: Long-time record collector and co-creator of the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer, who is also responsible for The Bohemian's impressive vintage 70s décor.
• 8/20 – DJ Buscrates: Super producer and one of Pittsburgh's favorite and deepest-digging DJs, returning for another set. DJ Buscrates can be found on Bandcamp at buscrates.bandcamp.com.
All events are free or low-cost neighborhood hangouts celebrating classic 70s soul, funk, and vinyl culture.
