Schizophrenic New Year Psycho-Rave 92 took place Tuesday, December 31, 1991, from 10PM to 5AM at the Oakland Beehive, 3807 Forbes Ave (Old King's Court Theater), Pittsburgh, PA. Two subcultures vied for control of your body across two floors: Upstairs featured 'Techno-Acid Mayhem' starting at 11PM with the return of the 'Psychotechnic Slack-Rave' with even more throbbing BPMs, hosted by DJ Deadly Buda and DJ Controlled Weirdness, along with MC Hydroponic. Downstairs offered 'Mind-Bending Mellowness' starting at 10PM with 'Top Fungal Fun' from live band Fungus, plus the 91.3 WYEP Grateful Dead New Year simulcast broadcast live from San Francisco. All-night smart drink bar introducing the newly developed 'Brainiac.'
