TAKAAT

TAKAAT (pronounced tuh-cot, meaning noise in the Tuareg language Tamashek) is a trio featuring Ahmoudou Madassane, Mikey Coltun, and Souleymane Ibrahim, also known as the rhythm section of Mdou Moctar. Their music blends punk intensity inspired by Fugazi and Unwound with guitar traditions from the Sahel. Formed during soundchecks while touring with Mdou Moctar, TAKAAT embraces sonic chaos, improvisation, and DIY punk ethos. Early evening show in the lodge with local support to be announced.
