Vision of Rhythm is a massive rave event taking place on Friday, July 26, 1996 in Pittsburgh, PA. The event spans three venues, features 14 DJs, and promises 22 hours of pulsating sound.
The day begins with 'Just Havin' It' — a FREE outdoor party in a Pittsburgh area park, rain or shine, from 5pm to 11pm. DJs include D. Cypol (ups, local 13, philly), Eric D (n'sync, pittsburgh), Smartie (pittsburgh), and Adair (pittsburgh). Sound by Wizard Workshop.
The main event, 'Primal Rhythm,' takes place at a nearby Pittsburgh venue from 11pm to 9am. Headliners include Jason Jinx (sm:)e, NYC) and Karl K (philly hardstep inc), with support from Gank (spawntaneous, Cleveland), Dust (moontribe, Pittsburgh), Conspiracy (ups, Akron), and Ruffian (protokulture, Pittsburgh). Admission is $12 at the door. Sound & Intelligent Lighting by Thunder & Lightning.
After the main event, a FREE after-party runs nearby from 9am to 3pm featuring Eric Justin (jive turkeys, Pittsburgh), Sleepy-C (psychoactive, Cleveland), Soji-Fu (Pittsburgh), and Josh (grove city). Sound again by Wizard Workshop.
