Following guest spots at various clubs in the UK, Annie became a resident DJ for System at the Mint Club Leeds, in 2008, where she has since cultivated her own style and sound. Since becoming a resident for the club over 10 years ago, Annie now also holds residencies for Mint Warehouse, Mint Festival and the Mint affiliated Cocoon in the Park, often warming up for legends like Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Enzo Siragusa and many more.

In the last few years invitations to play further afield have followed including Berlin’s Chalet Club, S*A*S*H Sydney, Breakfast Club Melbourne, the Illusion Records Sonar Party, 93 Feet East, the Pickle Factory and the Lion and Lamb in London, Gazgolder in Moscow, tINI and the Gang in Ibiza and Below in Birmingham. She also hosted bimonthly radio show on the Leeds based KMAH radio station. Recently listed in FACT Magazine’s Top 100 most underrated DJs, it is Annie’s knowledge, commitment and genuine passion towards music that have quietly earned her the respect of the underground community.

FORGE is a recurring party where each month, a different visual/physical artist will be featured alongside our musical selectors and guests, sowing the seeds for new collaborations and providing a unique pairing for the eyes and ears. In this way we are hoping to FORGE new experiences and new connections between our network of artists, party lovers, dancers, and fans.

This month's installation comes from Khadijat Yussuff, an audiovisual and textile artist whose work explores environmental perception of the human condition. Across all media, Khadijat's work asks the observer to consider parallels in human worlds and in nature's, and view the reclaiming of what is ours as a beautiful ritual, as opposed to a doomsday chore. In this immersive installation entitled Neo Binary, representations of nature meet futuristic technologies as the artist presents endpoints of a newer, more inclusive gender spectrum, pushing the constraints and understanding of the gender binary outward.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the LongTurn.

Longturn Music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Come early, stay late, dance hard.
