Tonight gFx welcomes ~
Through sonic healing and observing the bonds of the Pan African diaspora, Pittsburgh's ADAB deejays with afrofuturist intention based in the inherent mysticism of our worlds. They've made a name for themselves operating from the periphery of sounds, never seeming too fixated within one genre or style as they attempt to sonically bolster the beings of those that choose to listen. As described by themselves ADAB is not a persona to be propped up for the sake of itself but is moreso an energy to be conjured for the positive benefit of all.
Succubass is the alias of Seattle's Jessica Duran, one of the region's most trusted DJ's and a lynchpin in the Pacific Northwest music community. Formally affiliated with TUF, they are now a core member of the High & Tight crew as a curator, sound engineer and rave specialist.
They have gained traction by the way of versatility. Complexity in both rhythm and emotional narrative are carefully woven into a brilliant cohesive chaos, anchored by deep and undeniable grooves. Their sense of intuition – for both listener and composition, is palpable. The massive juxtapositions come on strong and wild, delicately blending and opening themselves to lush resolves. They recently were featured on RA’s mix of the day with a mix they put together for Daisychain.
