Taking over the booth for our June monthly at Cobra is the UK-based tech-house maestro, Iglesias! He's frequently referred to as the master of drum grooves, and for good reason. Rolling, percussive and with an audacious ear for rhythm; Iglesias' sound has amassed a huge following, not just from pundits but fellow producers, too. We're thrilled to have him behind the decks to put on a clinic for us in this intimate space.

On opening duty for this one will be our sisters from across the state, Riva + Bianca! They're 2/3 of the Solar Sounds collective which is doing amazing things in Philly. They've opened for the likes of Cloonee, J. Worra, Gene Farris, LP Giobbi, Volac, and they've brought their radiant energy to a few festival stages as well.

Iglesias' studio yields have always been dropped to enormous response. With millions of Spotify streams, multiple Beatport #1s, every track entering the Top 100 and a heady following by many of the names who inspired him, Joe has carved his own path with ambitious intent. Over the past several years, he has released on dominating labels such as Hottrax, Moon Harbour, elrow, Mindshake, Sola, Repopulate Mars, Solid Grooves and Of Unsound Mind, with an ongoing release schedule always primed for big-room crowds.

Although he pursued mainly his recognizable offshoot of tech house throughout his ascent, his recent releases have signaled a new evolution both as a DJ and producer. Pivotal, show-stealing tracks like ‘Subdue’ [Sola], the Missy-Elliott sampled ‘Blah’ [Toolroom] and ‘Been A Long Time’ [Elrow] laid the groundwork for increasing innovation and creativity. More flair, more nuances and new exploration into other genres like Breaks and electronica has led him into releasing tracks such as ‘Where?’ [Of Unsound Mind] and putting the wheels into motion for future aliases. As a versatile artist who takes his own knowledge and shares it freely, his reputation, mentality and enterprise has been awarded by international bookings across Europe and South America. Landmark gigs at the likes of Studio 338, Costa Rica’s Club Vertigo, We Are FSTVL and the number 1 voted club in the word, Hi Ibiza - have paved the way for worldwide tours across America and Australia, which sit patiently in the pipeline.

His accolades as a producer have only increased each year; now as one of the Top 90 best-selling tech-house artists of all time on Beatport and having secured the Top 35 spot for 2020. With almost 100 tracks under his belt and a myriad of other projects to accomplish, it’s clear that whatever Iglesias gets his hands on, he ensures to redefine and make his own.

Featuring Artists:

Riva + Bianca | Solar Sounds | Philadelphia

Originally from Northern New Jersey, Riva & Bianca have been lucky to explore & grow their music interests together over the years. This exploration has cultivated an appreciation for many genres, but it's quite clear that house & techno is their strongest love language.

The duo has played at a few radio shows, a couple festivals, plenty of afters, and lots of shows - all of which were in the Philly, NYC, DC, Pittsburgh, Florida, and Costa Rica regions. They’ve also had great opportunities to provide support for artists like Cloonee, LP Giobbi, Jaded, Gene Farris, J.Worra, Steve Darko, MINA,
Snakehips, Joey with the Mustache, Alexis Tucci, & more along the way.

Riva & Bianca have also worked with their friend, Sara, to plant their seeds and grow their passion project: Solar Sounds - an org focused on fostering an inclusive community through music, art, and dance. One things for sure, no matter where you find these two, you can always find them down to clown the sounds
of the underground.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Come early, stay late, dance hard ⚒️
