Cobra | Bloomfield | Ages 21+

Taking over our Cobra monthly in October is the Costa Rican DJ and producer Van Der Hansz! He’s had a busy year, having shared the stage with the likes of Diplo and ANOTR at BPM Festival in Costa Rica, playing in Bogota, Colombia, and launching his own record label, Windmill Records. The label showcases Latin sounds & Afro-inspired rhythms and has released tracks from Andre Gazolla, Harvey Valencia, and Lee Reynolds. The launch party this July spanned 3 nights across two countries, starting in San Jose and ending in Miami at The Trip club, at which he holds a residency.

Getting the night started will be two artists making their Longturn debuts. One of which is a Pittsburgh tech and bass house mainstay, Coachelly! The other, a Brooklyn-based certified party starter, Shargenol!

Van Der Hansz’s career began just a mere three years ago, but this DJ & producer is quickly on the rise. Van Der Hansz is inspired by a variety of genres and sounds. Born and raised in Costa Rica, with Dutch heritage, his music project merges the best of both worlds - the exotic energy from his homeland, paired with the stripped back vibes of his European influences.

Van Der Hansz has shared stage performances alongside artists such as Bassel Darwish, Carlo Lio, Chicks Luv Us, Chus, Classmatic, Dennis Cruz, Diplo, Eddy M, Gordo, Harvy Valencia, Hernán Cattaneo, Hugel, Iglesias, Joseph Capriati, Latmun, Max Chapman, Neverdogs, Pablo Ceballos, Paco Osuna, Rafa Barrios, Vintage Culture, wAFF, Yaya Tamango & many more.

Coachelly, is a Tech and Bass House artist, DJ, and producer, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After earning a degree in Arts and Entertainment Management in 2018, Chelsea relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue her music goals. She began working in promotions for iHeartMedia (Las Vegas) & Sony Music (NYC), while simultaneously grinding the DJ circuit around Sin City. From DJing parties and events for A-list celebrities to playing at some of the world's most renowned nightclubs. In her mainstream DJ days, Coachelly had the opportunity to provide the vibes for: On The Record, Drai's, Caesar's Entertainment, Enrique Iglesias, Las Vegas Aces, Canelo Alvarez, STIIIZY, AVN Awards, among others.

However, she quickly learned that the corporate, mainstream DJ scene no longer fulfilled her artistic aspirations. Instead, she immersed herself in the Vegas underground electronic scene, where she found her true love for house music and the community. Due to the pandemic, Coachelly moved back to her hometown of Pittsburgh, where she founded Rave Grave. This electronic music community hosts Halloween-themed events throughout the year, with the aim of creating a safe space for women, LGBTQAI+, and those in recovery.

Over the past few years, Coachelly has opened and closed sets for various artists such as Volac, Mary Droppinz, Dustycloud, Masteria, and Ciszak. Since becoming sober in 2022, she has been focusing on building her catalog of original music and plans to release consistently throughout 2024.

We’ll believe you, and we’ll help.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Come early, stay late, dance hard
