For the April edition of our Cobra monthly we host a resident of Solid Grooves, one of the hottest labels in the house and techno scene. He is one of the fastest rising Minimal/Deep Tech artists over the years who has enjoyed support from some of the biggest players, such as Marco Carola, Pawsa, wAFF, Joseph Capriati, Dennis Cruz, and many more. We’re thrilled to welcome the Barcelona-based DJ and producer, Bassel Darwish!

On opening duty this time is MAYO, a Bay Area born, PGH-based genre-blending house artist making his Longturn debut and has seen support from Westend, Data Transmission, Deeper Purpose, and more.

Hailing from Barcelona, DJ and producer Bassel Darwish has toured the world, performing in over 30 countries so far & is now focusing on his own productions developing & delivering his own style of tech house - allowing him to further share his passion for music with the world. So far he has released on Solid Grooves, Kaluki, elrow, Deeperfect, Revival New York, Rawsome and the list goes on. Holding down a residency with the renowned Solid Grooves label & party series alongside running his own imprint Distance Music label, he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Ameya Deshpande, aka, MAYO started this project with one goal in mind: to create an emotional experience for the people on the dance floor. Growing up in the Bay Area in California, MAYO was exposed to many styles of music, however he quickly found a passion for house music. This passion fueled him to create his own sounds in the studio. His genre-blending productions create a unique experience on the dance floor and whether it’s through his deep, techy basslines or his soulful melodic productions, MAYO aims to create the same emotional response he feels when listening to his favorite tunes. With his debut single out on RUVA House Records in 2023, MAYO plans to continue releasing music that inspires him and leave his mark in the house music scene for years to come.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
