Confluence Ballet Co. Presents IMAGES, a live music and dance event that opens with Joshua Malavé’s piano concerto performed by Amaury Morales, grounding the evening in virtuosic musical performance. In the second half, each composer selected a work of visual art from history and used it as a point of departure—bringing the image to life through original composition and movement. Together, music and dance mine our shared humanity, translating still images into living, emotional experiences onstage. Images invites audiences to feel deeply—to be moved, unsettled, and even brought to tears—and to leave reminded that the act of making art, simply because it must be made, is itself an act of hope.
