CHERRIEL, our electroclash siren sister rebel mother from Detroit, will return to perform a LIVE SET - she is the moment, the set, & the setting. Some of you may remember her intoxicating live set at Club Toilet 2025, or as a past Sweet Abyss alumni. Fierce, intoxicating, & peculiar, her sound embodies the marrow of the spirit meeting with technologic friction, fatale urgency against the downloads of mundanity. We love her!!!
M.KIM will open the night up with beautiful brain food and swaying delights, taking us through a hypnogogic world of wonders. Their monthly radio show InADream provides a container to explore the ethereal nature of what moves them. Also known for their community musical organizing, it sure is a wild life when M.kim is at the helm.
The amazing TIZA will finally grace our humble confines to close the night out! We have been wanting to welcome them back after they showcased their signature sounds with us at our big collaborative "Splish Splash" Pride event under the bridge last year b2b with family MIRA MIRA. We are excited for TIZA to bring their connective rhythmic membrane that continues to breathe new & necessary life into Pittsburgh. TIZA organizes the beloved Siesta Fiesta gatherings, providing a space for Latin & global music rooted in resistance and building connections across diasporas.
Sweet Abyss is an event to center people that have run afoul of societal expectations playing a wide variety of fun, strange, rhythmic sounds to dance or move their minds to. Dance to all kinds of synth-wave, trip hop, dub, disco, & electronic explorations.
